Todays Commuting Soundtrack.

Having taken up a little more exercise, I find myself cycling to and from the nearest hospital and busing from there to my current workplace (too far to cycle all the way). It gives me the opportunity to enjoy some iPod tunes. Greg (My iPod, named for Eric Szmanda's CSI character) today provided me with a fair mix of music to enjoy during this commute and I thought I'd share this with you...

Up first, The Fast Food Song by the Fast Food Rockers! OK, so this is a fairly terrible start from a quality point of view but it's fun, it's camp and it gets you going when you jump on your bike!

Following on, The Diva Dance (from the movie Fifth Element) is really quite a cool piece of music. You don't need the whole album to enjoy this snippet! One of my favourite parts of the film too!

Next, Dido, Here with me. Much slower but it reminds me of my beloved... We both loved the song in the times before Dido got everywhere and became irritating...

Fourth piece of music was an adaption of the Doctor Who theme by Galaxy 4. I've always loved the theme as it reminds me of the pleasure I get in watching the show. The new series is once again spectacular and I'm really pleased with David Tennant as the new doctor, despite having reservations that anyone could outshine Chris Ecclestone. Tennat is cute too! Always a bonus.

Love Song for a Vampire, sung by Annie Lennox is haunting and slow but by this point I was on the bus so didn't need to energetic melodies to keep me going.

Sixth was the fun Neighbourhood by Space. "In 666 there lives a Mr Miller, He's the local vicar and a serial killer!" You don't get lines like that in many songs!

Chariots of Fire by Vangelis changed the tone again. I like electro-instrumentals and Vangelis does his music well.

I used to listen to Limahl's version of Never Ending Story on 7" vinyl but I now have several 'techno' versions on iPod as well... I've no idea who sings the one I heard this morning!

Another annonymous piece of music came next, some dance track talking about becoming a freak... Boppy!

As I approached the ward on foot, I finished off the commute with Sweet Dreams by Dj Scott feat. Lorna B. I don't think I've even got the original on my iPod. It was released originally back before I was into music I think...

And that was the soundtrack to my days commute!

Well, it's something to post isn't it! And as he's mentioned above, I'll leave you with the cute Mr Tennant as todays totty... Jxx
