NaNoWriMo

Fool that I am... I've signed up for this years National Novel Writing Month! The aim...? Write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days! (They're opting for quantity over to quality to simply get folks writing!)

*falls off chair*

Well, I did this in 2005 and achieved the target within the time! It was tough, it was frantic, it was edge of your seat stuff but I did it... But only half a novel! Yep, first time round, I managed 50,000 words but didn't complete the story! And there it has sat (there it sut?) for the past two years, untouched, unread and miserable in the darkness of an antiquated floppy disk!

And so, this year I plan to re-invigorate all that was and finish the masterpiece! 50,000 more words (I keep writting the 50,000 bit to try and convince myself it's actually an insignificant figure!) to complete my beginnings! 1,667 words per day for the whole of November... Dead easy?

Well, considering it's 1st Novemeber and I'm working 12hrs today, I'll be behind schedule already by the end of day one... Should I be worried? That's only 3,334 words to write tomorrow... As well as vacuum and dust the entire house, clean the bathroom, do the washing and god knows what else!

...And I thought this was a good idea why...?

...And before you ask - NO! You can't read it till it's finished and heavily editted! Jxx
