Merged?
OK, so as previously stated, Facebook has taken over my life! There's now now't but the 'in' social network to come online for... Except of course there's Wooley Insights!! In a bid to remove the neglect this poor little blog has been subject to, I've now merged my two favourite online joys (excluding porn!). Yep, from today, Wooley Insights can also be found on my Facebook page (via 'notes'), giving many more poor souls an insight into all that is Wooley, as well as encouraging me to keep up with the blogging, in amongst all the poking!
So, what ewlse is new in Wooley's world? Well, I've noticed with dismay that the local shops are closing! Well, the Butchers never re-opened after the Fat Butcher (he really was obese) who owned it died. The Card shop never seemed to have anyone in it (though it was handy for those "bugger! I forgot X's birthday" moments) and is now on it's last legs, offering much of the giftware (that wouldn't go amiss in the local Salvation Army charity shop!)at reduced price and the flower shop is 'moving to new premises' though they don't say where... perhaps Peru?
We're always told to support our local economy and businesses which is fine and dandy when there're plenty of products to choose from, but once the locality starts to collapse, it's difficult to find time to visit the local greengrocer when you've got to go to the supermarket for meats, cheeses and other dairy... And with a Mini-Tesco attached to a local garage, two co-ops in walking distance (if we can be bothered to walk that far!) and a 24hr Spar luring us, it's looking grim for the few remaining small, family-run stores. Whatever next? They'd never think about closing the local Post office? would they?
I blame the Conservatives! Just because they're useless. New logo, same bullshit! There's a lot of government bashing going on, under the guise of Foot & Mouth mismanagement, Financial Crisis in banking and mortgages and whether or not the old Downing Street cat was euthanased under the orders of Cherie Blair but when you look a little deeper, you can see the disarray of the opposition is far worse than anything Labour can pull out of the bag! The Tories are failing to agree on anything their Leader says or (fails to) do and their U turns are so abrupt, they meet themselves on the way back head on! Why oh Why didn't the Liberal Democrats think to elect someone young and vibrant as leader! Without Menzies at the helm, they could've made huge inroads on beating the opposition into third spot!
Ooooh! Politics!
Anyway, that's enough heavy whittering for now... I'm going to see how this 'merges' with my Facebook page... If you're on Facebook and want a new friend, check me out...

If you're bothered about anything that has happened in the last decade, you can only blame Labour! The Conservatives haven't been in power, so it's not their fault!
It's all Gordon's fault.

It's always the Tories fault!
