Hacked Off
Having a bugger of a time with a stupid Spyware/Malware/Adware/Virus thing called SpyFalcon. The bleedin' thing infected our system whilst my partner was online yesterday and I've been having bother trying to rid us of it ever since! I've currently installed umpteen adware/spyware/malware/underwear removal programmes, as advised by several googled sites and am now working with a rather efficent member of Tomcoyote Forums who's guiding me through a complex removal process, not helped by my own feeble attempts which keep ruining 'siggyx's best efforts! I should really do so kind of computer course that teaches me what the hell it all means!
But really, I'm kinda hacked off that folk out there in the cyber-universe think they'll be doing anyone any favours by producing these infiltrating programmes! OK, this SpyFalcon is designed to get you to buy their product to rid yourself of the problem but doesn't it generate more disgust and dislike of the company than it does sales? Or are there a whole host of folk out there who feel they have no alternatives but to follow the process through, to the detriment of their pockets? Dispicable!
...And these folk who target big corporations with their hacks & viruses! Do they think it's fair on the common (wo)man who have to deal with the system breaches, crashes and general screw ups as a consequence? We may not be huge fans of Microsoft and such but many of us are chained to their systems through no fault of our own! Should we suffer too? I mean, I'm all for freeware / shareware and open source but it needs to be fully compatable and stable with all the programmes we use at work to ensure I don't have to go in on a weekend... Often they're not! And the WWW isn't always designed around the less common programmes. Yes, I use Firefox, yes I use Google enhancements, no I don't use MSN but as for Linux, Opera and the host of other alternatives out there, I'm not yet ready for that transition and I'm pissed off at those who'll penalise me for that decision! Bastards!
Listening to: The Core (on DAB).
Watched: Eurovison; Making you Mind Up on BBC last night! It's so bad it's good!
Bugging your brain like a stone in your shoe!
