Bugging your brain like a stone in your shoe!Odds & Ends!
I must remember that my VW Polo is not a sports car! I'm trying to drive it like the MX-5 and it's just not built that way! Damnit! Still... It shakes off the cobwebs!
Missed a 'mini-gather' this weeken of folk from the NKT. Unfortunately, i was working 12hrs Sat & again Sun, coordinating staffing and troubleshooting for eleven wards, including working on my own ward! They don't expect much from us! Anyway, I hope y'all had a great time and am really sorry I missed meeting Beisla from Finland who was the star of the show!
Just seen a flyer for the new Neuro-Oncology nurse! This was the position I had applied for but had a weird kinda panic attack on day of interview and couldn't make myself attend (I'd spent time researching, preparing and writting the darned presentation too!) It's odd to see the flyer, bringing back memories of that awful day but I know the nurse who got the post and I know she'll do a good job... She also has an Oncology background and would probably have beaten me to it anyway? (Well, I can think so to make myself feel a tad better!)
Placed a Tesco online order yesterday for our monthly groceries... Was pleased to note they now offer the option to have shopping packed without plastic carrier bags where possible! Jumped at this chance as it's been a critisicm of mine about their online service, the amount of bags they use to pack stuff! Otherwise it's a fairly green service, meaning we don't waste fuel on shopping trips when one bigger van can deliver numerous folks shopping!?
Fake Week on Big brother UK... I did mean to not get too engrossed in this series but we're watching it more and more... I can see my planned summer of reading go out the window as I stay up later to watch more installments from the house! Anyway, at the moment they've got an actress in there, pretending to be from BB Australia - her accent is appauling but many housemates are lapping it up! They also had to identify Australian 'Delicacies' the other day... All fake dishes but fun to watch them beleive... Of course, Porcupine Pate was mistaken by some for Pork Pie Pate! Hilarious!
Trying to decide which 'brother' from the new series Brothers and Sisters (channel 4, Wednesday eve)is the hotest! There're three attractive siblings, Thomas (Balthazar Getty), Kevin (Matthew Rhys) & Justin (Dave Annable)... Tell me which you think?
