Missing!

Eric has gone missing.

Our black cat, used to spending an hour or so on the prowl has been missing for over 24hours. It's not a nice feeling. I've put up small signs in the two local bus stops, for local residents to see hopefully, and we're going to do a leaflet drop this evening to all the houses around where he usually goes. There's no sign of him on the surrounding streets, which is good in some respects... It means he's not been hit by a car locally, or worse... But it also means we have no idea where he actually is!

We're going to ask folk to check outbuildings, sheds, garages, etc... and go from there. I've also checked the micro-chip database to ensure they have our correct contact details (they do!) and they also suggested we ask the postman, if we see them, to keep their eyes peeled as they often cover a lot of ground in a local area.

Otherwise, we sit and wait. I can't think of much else to do! Jxx

Spoke to the neighbours in most of the fifty or so surrounding homes. Widening the leaflet drop area today. Left message for postman, who kindly replied, and heading out to local rescue centres and veterinary practices today with Missing posters. Will also contact a local 'missing pets' charity who have radio links, to add our plight to the local wavelengths. Wish us more luck! Jxx

oh no! Miri went missing yesterday, but luckily she hadn't gone far and was waiting at the front door telling me to let her back in.

HE'S BACK!!!

Our dumb neighbour hadn't properly checked their garage! We heard him miaw'ing last night, after we'd called for him! VERY relieved! Jxx

Thank goodness, it's awful when your cat goes missing.
