Eco-Christmas?
This year, I will be making an even greater effort to be eco-friendly and thoughtfull over the festive period than previous. I (we) hope to achieve this by:
- Using LED lights instead of fairy lights - they use less power and last much longer! (new for 2006)
- Making a donation to charity rather than sending cards at work. (new for 2006)
- Recycling all recieved Xmas cards. (already do)
- Recycling all wrapping paper. (already do)
- Preparing our own vegetables for xmas dinner and avoiding pre-packaged goods. (already do)

Buy organic vegetables that are as local as possible.
Grow your own vegetables. I know you already compost (I've seen your bin!)
Buy charity Christmas cards.
Don't leave the telly on standby when you're comatose after Christmas dinner.
Is that enough to be going on with?
btw - thanks for the Christmas card - it was a lovely thought.

We are in some ways lucky that we have supermarket rewards totalling £90 to spend on the big Xmas shop... However, this also means we'll be using a large supermarket (Tesco)! We discussed this morning about spending a little more to ensure we buy organic but we can't guarantee local sadly! We can't afford not to use the rewards we've been saving...
The telly is switched off fully every evening anyway! And the Skybox & DVD recorder...
You are also most welcome!Jxx
