...Can I open my presents yet?
The Advent Calendar I made for D... There's a good looking celebrity behind every door! Who says we're shallow? The advent calendar is a tradition... I've made them for the past five or six years I think! Pain in the ass to put together but a pleasure to see his excitement when he gets to open it each day! Worth it all! (Spot the deliberate mistake!)
Our tree went up at the weekend... I was working 6hrs Saturday & 12hrs Sunday but we managed to find some time to make things festive! We've had this tree for years and though it's a pain to put together, it looks really good. This year we've opted for simply Silver & white trim with white LED lights (LED are environmentally better than fairy lights as they use less power and last loads longer!! - Invest in a set!). Randy is the reindeer lookin' chilled on the sofa!
Have you got a stag? Stags're the 'in' decoration this year and we've managed to capture this rather butch looking fella to watch over the festivities... We've also got some stag wrapping paper and stag gift tags... Erm...
My dear Auntie C has cross stiched several decorations for me over the past few years... As we're sticking with silver and white on the tree, I decided to use them in a more novel manner... I'm sure there aren't many of you who get to decorate a telescope...? I'm not sure there are many of you who feel you're missing out in not doing so either...?
Am a design exprt of course and so thought I'd show off a little of my talent in this piece! The Bauble-Star jug is sitting in the dining room. On previous years I've added lights to the jug and used smaller baubles but we had ample big ones this year!!
Fourteen Days to go... Jxx

Looks great, Jayson!! Was the mistake the missing #14?
Dammit...that was Faren above.
Nope... There is a number 14! Jxx
Wrong year??
Faren
Wrong year indeed... Managed to notice, after I'd spent hours putting the thing together that I'd put 2007 instead of 2006... Doh! Jxx
Much more decorating than I've bothered with. It seems rather pointless when we're going to spend X-Mas and the days preceeding it at the in-laws. The nativity scene came out of their boxes and are sitting on the piano at least. I think they're so pretty that they stay out in the guest room year round but I hadn't yet unpacked them from the move.
Lovely decorating Jayson dear :)
...You're very lucky! I'm still looking out for the perfect Nativity! My mum has an amazing set from our childhood with a wooden straw topped stable made by my grandad before he died... Jxx
