Not so Purrfect!

Bloody Cat!!

Not only is Eric trying to destroy relations with the neighbours but now he's taking to acts that are bordering on the suicidal... Well, they'll lead me to roast him for Xmas dinner at any rate!!

First of all, some months back, we got a late night call from the neighbours asking if we could help 'remove' Eric from their house! He was in their bathroom and attacking them whenever they tried to get near! Worse than that, as I entered their house I saw that both of their own cats were bleeding! Obviously at the hands (or claws) of our dear sweet Eric! (Be aware, we thought he was scared of anything that moved and was the last creature ont eh planet that would pick a fight!) I managed to get him out of their bathroom and he made his swift exit via their cat flap. We popped round a few nights later to 'apologise' for his behaviour and discuss buying them a magnetic cat flap to allow their cats access and deny Eric further entry. This seemed to work and we'd not had any trouble since...

Then the other day, late afternoon time, we could smell the delicious aroma of next doors Bar-be-que, so imagine our horror when Eric comes dashing back into our garden from the direction of the smells, carrying a rather expensive looking sausage! The git had stolen from the neighbours plates it would seem! Oh so funny when you're not already worried about a breakdown in good relations! We've kept this one quiet in the hopes they haven't noticed but we're really not sure we could stop him if we wanted...

However, last night we were stupid enough to leave our own dinner (uncooked) on top of the cooker whilst the oven heated up! When we went back in the room to get cooking, what did we find? Yep, a good portion of the meal seemed to be missing from the dish and one of our two cats (guess which) with a rather rotund belly!! Having spent the best part of an hour preparing the meal, you can imagine how pleased I was!! I'm really considering an alternative to Turkey this Christmas!!

In other news:

Back to work tomorrow! Having to work longer hours than planned this week too as a colleague has been (and still is) off sick! Will end up working 42 hours this week but it compensates for a rota in a few weeks time when I was under hours anyway I suppose. You'd think I'd manage my time better being in charge...?

Been having fun adding new programmes and games to my PDA! It's really cool and much better now I've managed to get the Sat Nav & Internet functions working (only took three days to work it all out!) Can't seem to access the blogger editting functions from it though! Was hoping to be able to generate blog entires easier! Humph!

Finally, todays bit of spunk comes courtesy of the loosing World Cup team... Despite his aggressive outburst (whether provoked or not) I hadn't realised till the World Cup final just how nice looking Zinadine Zidane was... Shame he's retired from international football! So many good looking footballers, so little time! *sigh* Jxx
