Jealous?

It's been around 30 degrees (centigrade) all week and we're off work, soaking up the rays in the back garden!

I'm actually writting this entry on the laptop, under the shade of a large garden umbrella as it's bordering on too hot really! It's made for some uncomfortable nights but not having to get up and go to work at some unearthly hour certainly helps the mood.

Of course, being a heatwave, the UK population will generally be suffering! We're used to sub-zero winters and barely warmer summers (usually damp!) and so I'm just waiting for the reported increases in hospital attendances and deaths due to excessive temperatures and a lack of basic care and attention to the human body in such times! Cynical? Hardly, happens every time the temperature guage creeps up... People never learn! Factor 15 for me...!

In other news...

This years Big Brother remains an absolute treat! So many freaks have paraded through the doors so far (with more to come!) that I can't quite understand how the series will finish on time! In what was originally a fourteen housemate household, there'll have been twenty two housemates and we're only half way through the series! Two Big Thumbs up to Endemol who have come up with the goods again this year!

I've found a good deal on an acer n35 handheld GPS Sat Nav Portable computer thingy... OK, it's a simple, light on gimmicks machine in comparison to those I was looking at earlier in my blogging (remember that?) but it's cheap too and money is a factor right now!! With any luck, we'll visit the local Makro tomorrow and grab a bargain... Also considering a swimming pool!!

Haircut today, looking good again though the hair product our stylist uses tends to cake onto the hair a little in this heat! Would love to dye my hair some wild and funky colour but I fear I am a little old for such behaviour and moreover, as a Ward Sister you tend to be expected to set an example, including in the uniform and presentation you maintain on the ward! Such a a shame! I was thinking something along the lines of the sexy and talented Freddie Ljungberg!!
