Brainiac!

I may not be thin but I am brainy!!

Got my results today from my latest set of degree modules... All passed! Only just scraped through but anything over 40% counts so hey, I'm not going to complain too much! They were really tough modules and with work being as dominating of my time as it has I didn't think I'd devoted enough time to get through. These results clearly state three passes however (45 credits to add to the 45 I had from three previous modules) so I'm all set for a final 30 credit module in September to get my BSc!!

Someone remind me why I'm doing this?? Jxx

Personal satisfaction? Enhanced job prospects? Or just to show what a clever bugger you are?

I think it's more because every job I apply for at this level states in the advert... "You will have, or be studying towards a degree!" Hardly a personal goal originally as I decided to take the diploma rather than degree route into nursing in the first instance! I sometimes feel forced into this. Certainly, the first three modules I studied I was 'sent' on by an ex ward manager! I suppose I'll be chuffed enough when it's all over and I've got more letters after my name... Currently I'm Dip HE RN... Dippy Nurse!! Jxx

Probably for the same reason that I come home from a full day at work and study: in hopes of someday having a job that is more secure, better paying, and with les aggravation. February 2007 -- I'm only 12 credits from my M.A.Ed. and halfway through a 3-credit course. The rum will be flowing . . .

I've already got the the secure, (reasonably) well paid job... Can't help the aggravation in the nHS! I'm one of the lucky ones! Jxx
