The Trouble with... Simon Fanshawe

We watched a rather bias and annoying programme the other night clasifying pretty much the whole of Gay society in Britain as being sexually perverted and heavily into designer drugs! This was the opinion of an out gay man himself (Simon Fanshawe) who believes we're all on the same destructive cycle! Pish! I've been in a stable relationship for eight years, I do not participate in S&M, Watersports, Sauna Orgies and extreme drug taking... And I'm pretty sure I'm not alone!

Simon F simply took the worst of several Gay Scenes (London, brighton & Manchester) where large volumes of Gay folk have chosen to live and so will include aspects that may be thought of as more extreme in larger quantity than the rest of the country. Sexual deviance exists in all sexualities and if you scratch the surface of Lesbianism, Heterosexuality and any other persuasion, you'd quickly find people into the practices he listed as being all and solely encompassing of a Gay crowd!

I'm genuinely offended by these thoughts, spoken on national TV, by a Gay man. His fame and persuasion will encourage the belief that it must be true, that all of us Gay folk live these hedonistic lives! It's total bollocks, un-representative of near all the Gay society I belong to and really bad press & publicity for Gay people in general when we're only just managing to drag bigotted thinking out of the dark ages!

Am really busy at work still. Fourth week in post and struggling to find a moment to think, let alone keep this blog up to date... I'm sure my friends at the New Kitchen Table will think I've just deserted them! Never fear - I'll be back soon!?

Blood test results on Eric are due any day! If it's pancreatitis then our insurance company'll foot the bill! If not, it's another £500 we won't see again! Good job we've lined up a cheap summer holiday! Still, we wouldn't even consider not paying for the little git when he gets ill! We'll always find the money somewhere... Jxx
